David Eggering


Dave is the owner and operator of Comfort Keepers in Grayslake, IL, serving Northern Lake and McHenry Counties. Dave is in charge of overall operations and management of Comfort Keepers. Dave was a research Biologist with Pfizer before experiencing the need for caregiving within his own family.


"I was seeing the toll it was taking on my mother and father each day as they were caring for my grandmother. I knew this was an area of need where I could really make a difference."


Dave opened Comfort Keepers Grayslake in 2003 and expanded it in 2005 to cover parts of McHenry County. In 2013, the company expanded further into McHenry county to include the Crystal Lake and Huntley areas. Dave is married and enjoys spending time chasing his three children around the house and to and from activities.

Denise Nemeth, MSW

Manager of Client Care Services

Denise is the Manager of Client Care Services for Comfort Keepers Grayslake, serving Northern Lake and McHenry Counties. Denise started with Comfort Keepers in July of 2014.

“I really love working for Comfort Keepers! We provide nothing but excellent care to our clients and families. Our team goes above and beyond to ensure that our clients are taken care of always! Our owner Dave is passionate about the services we provide and wants to ensure that his staff is happy and is providing the highest level of quality care.”

Before Comfort Keepers, Denise managed Assisted Livings and Memory Care Units for 6 ½ years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has worked with a variety of populations. She is passionate about the elderly population. Denise enjoys spending time with family and friends and keeps busy with her 3 nieces and 1 nephew.

Elliott Hanna

Human Resources Manager

Elliott started with Comfort Keepers in April of 2015, and is currently the Human Resources Manager. Elliott has 25 years of healthcare experience, 15 years of which has been in Human Resources, coupled with finance.

“I’ve come to enjoy Comfort Keepers because of their love for people which is becoming absent in our industry. I see the compassion and leadership that Dave exhibits and his expectation for us to follow his lead, but allowing us to explore our individual growth and talents. Coming here was a good career move for me and I hope I can continue to support our mission and philosophy by supporting CK initiatives.”

Elliott comes to Comfort Keepers with a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies and a Minor in Child Parent and Community Services. Before Comfort Keepers, Elliott was a Mental Health Counselor Professional, Discharge Planner, Case Manager and Human Resources Generalist. Elliott enjoys many sports, loves to travel, and most of all, loves his ministry.

Karen Larsen

Business Development Specialist

Karen is the Business Development Specialist for Comfort Keepers Grayslake, serving Northern Lake and McHenry Counties. Karen started with Comfort Keepers in July of 2011 and works out in the communities we serve to educate people on how Comfort Keepers could be a benefit to them. Karen can also explain the latest and greatest technology we have available for safety as well as peace of mind. We are at the forefront of this ever changing technological world.

Karen has a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis on graphic communications, which helps her create events and literature to market our local Comfort Keepers office. Karen lives with her husband and has a family cat, Abbey, who was adopted from a local shelter. Karen enjoys many activities such as traveling, cooking, bicycle riding, fishing, creating artwork in many different mediums, going out with friends and taking summer trips to their new family cabin in Northern Wisconsin.

Grace Juarez

Client Care Coordinator

Grace started with Comfort Keepers in August of 2015, and is currently the Internal Client Care Coordinator.  Grace has 6 years of healthcare office experience and 10 years in general office.

“I enjoy working at Comfort Keepers because I get the opportunity to use my previous work experience and contribute to the success of my team.”

Grace recently graduated from Columbia College with an Associate in Human Services. In the future, she plans to continue her education at an accredited university, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services. She enjoys spending time with friends and family. Grace has 4 children and two dogs.

Jamie Shetler


"I am the Scheduler for Comfort Keepers, and while I am new to the Comfort Keepers team I have previous experience in this role. I love the everyday challenges of my job and enjoy building relationships with our CK Caregivers and clients. I have been married for 34 years to my husband Ron and we have two sons Dean & James. I am looking forward to growing with the Comfort Keepers Family!"

Judithann Wett

Certified Nursing Assistant

Judithann has been with Comfort Keepers for the past 10 years. She specializes in working with individuals who have ALS. The patience she shows our clients is absolutely wonderful. Despite having to deal with a lot of health issues in her own family, Judithann continues to be devoted to her clients and works hard to make sure that they have the best quality of life possible.

“I just love helping people and that is what I do.”
